Born and raised in Pennsylvania, I originally studied opera at a conservatory in New England. Life interfered and I returned to school to obtain a degree in English Literature and Creative Writing with an emphasis on women writers of the Medieval, Classical, and Victorian eras. I have worked as an editor for the US division of Blackwells, the storied British bookshop and publishing house, and as a writing coach for the graduate school at UMGC. I like to bring an element of the classic to my writing and feature strong, historically accurate, female characters.
Currently, I live in the suburban East Coast with my husband, 4 children, and two tabby cats, making ends meet by day and writing by night. In my imaginary free time (seriously…who has free time?) I enjoy world travel, live theatre, reading in solitude, and bottomless lattes.
Every day, I'm inspired by the women writers of every genre in every generation.
